#+title: PantherX
Hello, I've just discovered your pantherx project thanks to
@emergencychina. He has shared the link in telegram group about guix
(there are ~150 people).

My name is Mikhail Kirillov. I'm using guix and emacs for about 3 years
for a work and personal use. I'm not much involved in guix development
(I've sent maybe 1 or 2 patches), but I have some packages defined for
my own use stored in my dotfiles git repo. I support free software
movement for quite some time and administrate local chats about free
software (in russian language) in telegram related to free software (GNU
group, Emacs, Guix, Lisp).

@emergencychina have said, that you can provide an employment to work on
guix code for pantherx. If there is an open vacancy, I would love to
join to your initiative. Not ideally, but I was working in Guile and
Scheme before. Profesionally I do web backends using PHP (and symfony)
and Python (flask, django). I know a bit of C and interested in FP and
lisp-like languages.

I would love to see the source code of pantherx to setup it and tinker
it on my own computer, but looks like https://git.pantherx.org/ is not
open for everyone. I use libreboot'ed thinkpad x200t, so I can test some
setups on my low end pc.

Also I've been creating my own mirror of Guix with a build-farm and
Software Heritage, thats work in progress project. I was planning to do
something that looks like LTS stable release of guix with stable packs
of software for non tech users and such users that prefer debian-way of
dealing with packages. I was happy to know, that someone is planning to
do similar thing (I've seen text about lts release called "Institution"
on one of panterx pages).

Looking forward to learn and use pantherx.
